**The Role**- Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of PPPY program, systems, and subsystems. Participates in the negotiation of the PPPY contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of the PPPY contract. Acts as primary customer contact for PPPY program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss schedule, technical, and financial performance.Establishes infrastructure to support PPPY design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the NNL and NAVSEA customers. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.**Must Have**
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experienceOne of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
**Nice to Have**
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize and lead multiple teams and projects autonomously.
- Familiarity with, and ability to lead programmatic and project execution of, engineering and design efforts as authorized under the NNL contract.
- Knowledge of planning yard activities and requirements with solid working relationship with PPPY functional areas, as well as, the associated NNL and NAVSEA customers.
- Ability to forecast program vision to the PMO team and the PPPY functional areas in support of Ford Class propulsion plant design, operations, maintenance, and life-cycle support efforts.
- Ability to communicate effectively and represent the PPPY organization regarding significant and emergent program matters.
