**ABOUT THE POSITION**

**Regional Technology Lead, New England Region**

VHB is seeking a Regional Technology Lead for our New England Region (Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont) to lead our growing Technology practice.

In this strategic technical role, you'll be at the forefront, leading technology-driven transformation in our industry. (Energy, Transportation, Land Development, Planning, and Environmental). You'll lead a team dedicated to delivering and maintaining technology solutions to support projects and clients of all types and sizes, while helping to shape our regional technology strategy and driving sustainable.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Technology Focused Goals**: Collaborate with Regional Manager, Regional Leadership Team and Technology Team on setting and advancing technology-focused goals.
- ** Strategic Vision**:Develop and communicate a compelling vision and implementation strategies for local and regional teams, positioning VHB at the forefront of technology adoption and integration in the markets we serve.
- ** Technology Awareness and Use**: Elevate the use of innovation and technology regionally across practitioners (engineers, planners, and scientists). Drive technology adoption in areas like digital delivery, data management mobile data collection and GIS.
- ** Market Expertise**:Stay ahead of industry trends, assess internal and external capabilities, and champion strategic initiatives, fostering a "OneVHB" mentality.
- ** Business Development/Operations**:Lead efforts to identify and pursue strategic pursuits, expand client relationships, and cultivate partnerships with technology vendors. Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules and negotiate with clients.
- ** Team Leadership**:Oversee the regional technology staff, mentor team members, and promote the advancement of data and technology initiatives.
- ** Project Excellence**:Manage high-profile projects, budgets, and schedules, ensuring quality control and financial progress.
- ** Industry Engagement**: Represent VHB at regional events, conferences, and seminars while contributing to thought leadership in the industry.
- ** Training** Identify training needs. Support delivery of training.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- ** Technology Expertise**:Comprehensive understanding of practical technologies, with expertise in one or more specific areas relevant to VHB's focus, including Digital Delivery (Virtual Design & Construction, Model-Based Design), GIS, Data Analytics, AI & Machine learning, AR/VR, and Mobile Data Collection to name a few.
- ** Communication**: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage positively at all levels.
- ** Strategic Thinking**: strategic thinker who can develop a forward-thinking vision for the practice.
- ** Project Management**: Excellent project management skills, ensuring successful project delivery.

**Qualifications**
- 10-15+ years of technology-focused engineering experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry required;
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline;
- Comprehensive understanding of practical technologies, with expertise in one or more specific areas relevant to VHB's focus including on, GIS, Data Analytics, AI & Machine learning, AR/VR, and Mobile Data Collection;
- Demonstrated and progressive relationships with clients such as Departments of Transportation, Transit Agencies, and private utility owners within New England is preferred;
- Prior leadership experience, including strong presentation skills to communicate highly complex info to a wide range of audiences.
