Come to NESN and work with one of the most talented broadcasting & digital platforms teams in the country We are currently seeking a Lead QA Engineer, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of , the NESN 360 mobile and connected TV apps available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Google TV, and our broader digital ecosystem.


The Lead QA Engineer will be hands-on developing test plans, designing and executing test cases, performing manual testing of the website and applications including running and/or developing scripts to verify data, and interfacing with 3rd party testing vendors to identify, communicate, and resolve defects.

this is hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite in Watertown, MA

Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Champion product quality through the organization and help identify, quantify, prioritize, and solve quality issues before our customers face themDevelop the strategy to create test plans to automate the testing processOwn the testing process by planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating cross-functional QA effortsReview feature / functionality and user story requirements; document the testing Use Cases before development beginsMake testing an integral part of the development process while increasing the level of test automation and quality practicesPerform QA testing to ensure high quality software is delivered in each releaseReport, track, and manage any discovered defects to resolutionParticipate in product backlog grooming sessions (as needed) in order to develop and lead testing automation opportunities as appropriatePrepare test coverage and defects metrics to substantiate release decisionsSuccessfully complete other related projects or tasks as neededQualifications:


Technical degree and/or certifications5+ years of experience in a QA and/or software development role that leans toward automation2+ years testing mobile, connected TV, and/or web applicationsPassion for delivering high quality products to consumersExcellent knowledge of testing processes and practice with solid understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodology and practicesExperience working with Jira, UI test automation tools, and test case management softwareAbility to work effectively and collaboratively in a cross functional environment that includes 3rd party development, technology, and QA partnersAble to solve problems as an individual and within a teamExcellent communication skills and fluency with dataOpen-minded, always learning, and with a high degree of ownershipExcellent time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, make decisions, and recommend solutionsSelf-motivated.

Able to work independently with minimal direction, multi-tasking as neededTeam-focused proactive and reliable self-starter able to work efficiently with geographically distributed teamsMust embrace the NESN
