**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**Armed Security Officer (Active or Prior Law enforcement)**
We are looking for Armed Officers to help cover Events, gigs, and religious services in the lower and upper NYC area.
**Details**
- Various shifts - No set shifts, all shifts vary and will be communicated via text, call, or mobile app blast.
- Monthly planned events, weekly fill in needs, and daily pop up requests.
- Mostly mornings or evenings such as 5p-11p or 9a-1p
- Suit and tie and/or polo khaki appearances.
As an **Armed Security Officer, **you may work in a variety of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Residential, Construction, Religious Organizations, Government buildings, and more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide customer service.
- Follow and enforce company post orders and site-specific post orders.
- Follow and enforce emergency response post orders.
- Respond to incidents.
- Write incident reports.
- Perform foot patrol tours both interior and exterior.
- Stand for period of time.
- Work in rain, snow, or other weather related conditions.
- At times work as a team.
- Display excellent communication skills.
**Qualifications**:
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed positions.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have prior armed security experience.
- **Have verifiable existing or prior law enforcement experience, or have existing / prior probation, corrections, parole, court officer or other verifiable government work history and experience.**:
- **For active police officers**:
- **You must only provide your valid, photo work id card, from your police department/agency.**
- For retired police officers, active and retired probation, corrections, parole, court officers, and other government employee officers:
- In New York state, a valid, non expired, New York state **armed security guard license** containing a verifiable UID is required prior to employment.
- A valid **NY State full carry permit **is required prior to employment.
- A valid NY city permit or endorsement is required for those who will be working in the **5 boroughs of New York City **prior to employment. (You can work outside of that area should you not possess one while we assist in helping you obtain one)
