**SUMMARY**
The Permit Coordinator plays a pivotal role in bringing our critical infrastructure projects to life. Serving as the vital link between our engineering teams, construction crews, and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for processing, reviewing and issuing a wide range of permits for approval to build utility infrastructure. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of essential utility services, such as fiber optics, electric, gas, and water. In this fast-paced, dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the communities we serve, supporting the development of the infrastructure that powers our world.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Research and identify the required permits and approvals for utility design projects. This may include municipal, county, state, environmental, railroad, and joint use permits.
- Identify requirements and assess risks associated with permit acquisition and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate permit requirements and timelines to project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, regulatory agencies, and other relevant parties.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the company in meetings and discussions with regulatory bodies to address permit-related issues.
- Generate regular reports to track permit progress and provide updates to project stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Associate degree in business administration, project management, or related field.
- Experience in obtaining and maintaining permits and regulatory compliance requirements in a utility or engineering environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, and Google Earth.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to utility design and permits.
- Permitting experience with Railroad Encroachment, Erosion Control, and Traffic Control.
- Permitting experience with ACOE, DNR, EIA, FCC, NEPA, SHPO, and THPO.
- Joint Use permitting, including use of Alden, SPANS, NJUNS, Alliant ATS, and Joint Use 365.
