Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is seeking reliable and hard working Teacher's Assistants to support our students in the infant through primary classes for the 2022 - 2023 school year (beginning August 2024). No previous teaching experience necessary.

Teacher's Assistant support the lead teachers in the classroom by helping to prepare/break down the classrooms for the day and maintaining a safe learning environment throughout the day. This is a fun and flexible job with the opportunity to build lasting relationships.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with overseeing children
- Supervise children during nap times
- Classroom organization and cleaning

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting are required
- Must have regular, reliable, predictable attendance in performance of essential job functions
- Experience working with children (preferred)
- Ability to work effectively with parents, co-workers, and diverse communities
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required
- The ability to sit on the floor with students, lift 30 pounds, and bend down to a child's eye level

**Compensation**
- Starting Pay: $18.00/hr.

Generations Montessori School is a licensed Child Day Center providing care for infants to school aged children.
