The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the set up of banquet functions.

**General Responsibilities Include**:

- Set up chairs and tables to meet function specifications
- Clean event space by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping areas, and washing walls before and after event
- After set up, provide support for servers by clearing tables, running food, and performing side work as needed
- Listen to, and promptly act to resolve, guest issues and requests
- Achieve maximum customer satisfaction

**Skills/Knowledge Required**:

- Must possess a positive attitude
- Must be service oriented
- Must be a team player
- Knowledge of the practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality profession

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to walk and stand for up to four (4) hours in length
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a continuing basis
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

**Qualification Standards**:
**Education**:High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

**Experience**:Minimum of 1 year of luxury, boutique food & beverage experience in a similar position

**Licenses or Certificates**:
**Grooming**:All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
