Overview:
**Schedule**: Sunday - Thursday / 6:00am - 2:30pm
**Purpose Statement/Position Summary**: The Maintenance Helper II performs preventive, corrective maintenance and project related duties of a recognized skilled craft or trade while assisting a journey-level carpenter, electrician, plumber, HVAC or maintenance mechanic. Typically specializes in one or more of the construction craft trades such as Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or Refrigeration, and works at a skill level equivalent to that of an advanced apprentice. Performs routine Preventive Maintenance which does not require the skills of a journey-level craft technician on various pieces of hospital equipment and systems.
**Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience**: 2+ years of on-the-job construction and/or maintenance experience. Hospital experience highly preferred. Barrier containment set-up experience strongly preferred.
**Education/Licensure/Certifications**: Trade school construction maintenance training courses.
