Currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join a client of ours growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end close, tax preparation, and support for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, consolidation, and taxes
- Lead the quarterly and year-end close activities
- Assess current practices and procedures, implement effective internal controls across the company, and make recommendations for improvements
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Work with external auditors, consultants, and firms
- Develop, lead, evaluate, and mentor the accounting team
- Uphold and instill the company’s philosophy and culture within the team

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to recommend solutions to business issues and process improvements
- Self-driven, value-adding approach, and a “can do” attitude
