Procare Physical Therapy is a leading private, physician-owned healthcare organization specializing in physical therapy. With a strong commitment to patient care and a track record of excellence, we are expanding our team and seeking a Front Desk Receptionist. This is a unique opportunity to join a team with extremely low turnover and high job satisfaction. 

Our practice is on the second floor of Atlantic Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Portsmouth, NH.

**Position Summary**:
As a Front Desk Receptionist at our physical therapy office, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing essential support to ensure a seamless and positive experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients, managing appointments, and maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk environment. The role requires a combination of exceptional communication skills, administrative proficiency, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

**Working Relations**:
Positions reports to: Front Desk Lead and Operations Manager

Internal Relationships: Office Staff, Clinicians, Physicians

External relationships: Patients, Physicians, Office Staff, Insurance Providers

**Position Requirements**:
Licenses or Certificates: N/A

Education, vocational training, and experience:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced computer and data entry skills
- Ability to be on-site in Portsmouth, NH is required for this position

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrates a friendly and professional communication style.
- Exhibits the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Possesses strong telephone communication skills, consistently upholding a professional and articulate manner.
- Prior experience in medical scheduling or a comparable role is preferred.
- Displays excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrates a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Responsibilities**:
The Front Desk Receptionist tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
**Patient Service**:

- Ensure positive, friendly, and personalized interactions with patients, facilitating timely coordination with clinicians.
- Answer incoming calls promptly (within 3 rings) with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Manage patient scheduling efficiently.
- Complete and enter new patient registrations accurately within daily deadlines.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and communicate relevant information to both the patient and clinician.
- Obtain necessary authorization for patient visits, keeping records current and communicating updates to both patient and clinician.
- Prepare and submit paperwork for patient billing appropriately.
- Collect required co-payments during patient interactions.

**Administrative**:

- Open and distribute daily office mail.
- Adhere to HIPAA requirements, ensuring confidentiality in all written and verbal communications.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system.
- Manage office supply inventory, replenishing items as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with referring physicians and their office staff.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as requested by the Operations Manager.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
