**General Summary**:
Primary responsibilities are the development and enhancement of relationships with organizations and businesses throughout Washington County in order to benefit underserved populations and groups served by FRIENDS. This is often achieved by managing social media accounts and coordinating, attending, and implementing events in our community. This position also manages the volunteer program of the organization.

**Essential Functions**:

- Outreach:_
- Outreaches to underserved populations (e.g. BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Spanish-Speaking).
- Primary responsible staff person for external agency representation for community presentations and at outreach events, and fairs.
- Develops and maintain relationships with underserved population group and organizations in Washington County to provide collaborative programming.
- Coordinates all external requests for public speaking, agency representation and awareness events and ensures these events are staffed.
- Creates regular posts on FRIENDS social media sites for awareness, promotion, and acknowledgement of partners.
- Always integrates trauma-informed care practices into interactions and service provision for clients.
- Works to increase formal partnerships, service agreements, and memorandums of understanding with providers and businesses within Washington County to benefit the clients of FRIENDS, Inc. in collaboration with Leadership.
- Creates agency outreach plan and updates annually with goals.
- Creates procedures, forms, etc. for the outreach and awareness program efforts.
- Responsible for collecting and reporting statistical and anecdotal information related to outreach efforts.
- Volunteers:_
- Manages the volunteer program of the agency including recruitment, onboarding, basic training, etc.
- Creates volunteer duty descriptions, procedures, etc. for the volunteer program.
- Works with FRIENDS staff to identify volunteer needs and gaps and works to fill those.
- Responsible for creating and managing a volunteer information database.
- Responsible for collecting and reporting statistical and anecdotal information related to the volunteer program.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the volunteer files.
- Creates regular posts on FRIENDS social media to engage and acknowledge current volunteers and recruit new ones.
- Coordinates the annual volunteer recognition event.
- Maintains working relationships and updates with volunteer agencies and advertising sites such as UWGM and Volunteer Center and coordinates on-going service programs.
- Cultivate a group of volunteers to act as a FRIENDS “Speaker’s Bureau” to attend awareness events along with staff to alleviate the need to have as many staff in attendance.
- Donations:_
- Coordinate and implement the FRIENDS, Inc. adopt-a-family holiday program
- Coordinate with United Way for their Giving Tree program
- Post and acknowledge donations through appropriate social media channels
- Maintain updated shelter needs wishlists

A_dditional duties:_
- Provides back-up to presenting the Children’s Advocate’s prevention curriculum and presentations.
- Completes all data entry including client records, events, and statistics for reporting.
- In partnership with the Advocacy Team, develops and implements Awareness Month Events (SV, DV, Teen, Pride, Human Trafficking)
- Answers crisis line, provides referrals, and completes database entry.
- Attends monthly all staff meeting, bi-weekly coordinator meetings, and updates with Executive Director.
- Supports and attends all FRIENDS special events and functions including internal committees.
- Represents FRIENDS in a positive manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Education/Certification**:
**Required**

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field - will consider commensurate combination of education and experience

Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation

**Experience**:
**Required**
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing presentations OR facilitating community conversations
- Excellent communication skills; cultural competence and the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Strong self-motivation and organizational skills to manage a variety of diversified tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of domestic violence and/or sexual violence dynamics and underserved populations
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products

**Strongly Preferred**
- Bi-lingual, Spanish-speaking and writing

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
