Overview

The Louisa Local Reach and Campus Coordinator plays a vital role in the operational excellence and community outreach efforts of The Point, specifically aligning with our strategic initiative to address poverty in the communities we serve through the Path Out of Poverty strategy. This individual is instrumental in implementing day-to-day campus functions and spearheading our community engagement endeavors. They will ensure that these efforts not only reflect our commitment to sharing Christ's love through practical assistance and gospel-centered programming but also exemplify our core values of humility, gratitude, trust, excellence, and generosity. This role requires an organized, mission-focused individual adept at activating volunteers, managing multifaceted projects, and fostering community and congregational connections.

Key Responsibilities

Program Oversight: Lead the operational aspects of Local Reach initiatives such as the Entrepreneurship Academy, Pathway Mentorship, The Hub, and Access Point. Guarantee these programs are implemented with fidelity to their intended outcomes, mirroring our mission and strategic imperatives.

Volunteer Engagement and Development: Cultivate a robust volunteer force dedicated to our Local Reach missions. This includes recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, ensuring they are effectively deployed, supported, and motivated. Develop innovative strategies to involve our church family in volunteering, emphasizing the gift-oriented ministry.

Community Partnership and Liaison: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local entities, educational institutions, and community influencers to augment program reach and efficacy. Represent The Point in the community, ensuring our initiatives address real community needs while showcasing our commitment to Known Strategy and Next-Level Hospitality.

Event Management Excellence: Manage all event facets, from logistics to budget oversight, ensuring each event embodies our mission and contributes to our community impact.

Enhanced Guest and Support Services: In collaboration with the Campus Pastor, refine and implement strategies for optimizing guest experiences across all touchpoints. Champion Next-Level Hospitality initiatives, ensuring seamless communication and operational excellence among Dream Team Leaders during Sunday services.

Impact Reporting and Continuous Improvement: Monitor, assess, and report on the progress and impact of Local Reach activities. Continuously evaluate program success, identifying improvement areas to amplify outcomes. Share inspiring stories within our church to cultivate a culture of service and open-handed generosity.

Mission-Aligned Commitment: A profound personal dedication to serving Christ and empowering others to overcome poverty with gospel-centered solutions.

Proven Community Engagement Experience: Demonstrable success in leading volunteer-driven programs or community outreach efforts, with a preference for knowledge in poverty alleviation strategies.

Exceptional Organizational Competence: Aptitude for juggling multiple initiatives, prioritizing tasks, and adhering to timelines. Strong execution and planning skills are critical.

Leadership and Relational Aptitude: Proven leadership with experience in mobilizing and nurturing volunteers. Outstanding interpersonal and motivational skills to inspire collective action.

Adaptability and Creative Problem-Solving: Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Agile in adapting to new challenges with inventive solutions.

Educational Foundation: A bachelor’s degree in social work, education, community development, theology, or related fields is preferred.

Spiritual Maturity: Christian faith consistent with The Point’s beliefs, demonstrating a life committed to spiritual growth and Christian ethics.

Working Conditions

This full-time role demands schedule flexibility, including evenings and weekends, to align with volunteer availability and program needs.

Based at The Point’s Louisa campus with regular local travel for program and partnership development.
