**The Role**

Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers. Plans detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records. Ability to obtain a DoD Clearance is required.

Production Planner: Quality Records group that supports the review and plans of CVN/RCOH Structural (NDT) Non-Destructive Testing Documentation. Review CVN structural construction/overhaul drawings & product models, Virtual Work Instructions (VWI) product structure trees, SAP production control notes, Bill of Materials, 3D modeling (Teamcenter Lifecycle Visualization (TcVis), and packages for fab assembly and NDT requirements. Develop/maintain information inputting into SAP and/or E2058 Structural Weld Databases to initiate production actions using NDT Data Record forms NN2058s/NN3927s, distribute, track and certify structural welding NDT completion (NN5101).

Determining and laying-off Ultrasonic Testing site locations on Mylar and/or TcVis Software models for Nondestructive Test Department layoff and inspection of installation welds for manufacturing and assembly of Base-A units, super-lifts, and carrier dry dock construction.

Certifying compartment NDT completion utilizing the 3 Card (NN1641-3) process, using construction area information, unitized and C&A drawings and procedures. Updating and tracking 3 Card progress in SAP structural weld data base for Trade's accountability. Reporting progress and findings of 3 Cards to Trades and construction supervisors for completion of compartments.

Tracking Structural Weld Repair Cards (NN1973); Lifting Pad Inspection, Test, and Records (NN3935, NN3935-1 & NN4376); Foundation Cards, and verifying NDT completion of QID NQC certifications (NN9081).

**Must Have**

Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

**Nice to Have**

Working knowledge of CVN Ship lay-out, Construction and Nomenclature.

Able to read and interpret CVN structural drawings and general notes; comprehend and interpret NDT specifications and drawing requirements; and comprehend and interpret Quality Assurance (QA) procedures (QAI).

Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal; work well with others; work under pressure and independently; follow through with assigned tasks promptly and adapt to changing work schedules, and work assignments/location.

Proficient in using SAP, (TcVis) Software and/or other drawing design programs and Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).

Practical experience of Fitting, Welding and/or Inspection of these process lanes is a plus.

Pays attention to details and has a First Time Quality mindset.

Open to new ideas/concepts that will improve processes.
