Analyst in the Village Manager's Office.

member of the Village's executive team, you' interact with afi Viiiage departments
and wear many hats, including:

- Serving as the Village's Freedom of Information Act Officer
- Being the point person for community events as the Special Event

Coordinator
- Providing invaluable support with the Village's $177 million annual budget
- Diving into research and analysis to inform decision-making
- Assisting with grant writing
- Supporting implementation of Skokie's Environmenta Sustainability Pan,

contributing to a more resilient and sustainable future for the community

Required Training Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred; One to two years of local municipal
and Knowledge: government management experience, preferably in Finance or Public Administration,

or comparable experience is desired; Must be organized able to effectively manage
and prioritize muitipfe projects in a fast-paced setting and effectively function in a
to organize data in clear, understandable formats; Must be able to effectivefy manage
and prioritize multipfe projects and effectively function in a team environment; Must
have excellent organization skills and use discretionary judgement in dispensing
information; Ability to follow all safety rules of the Viliage.

JOB IDENTIFICATION

Position Title: MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Salary Range: A 210

Reports to: Assistant Village Manager

Supervises: None

JOB PURPOSE

Under the general direction of the Assistant Village Manager, the Management
Analyst serves as the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer and Special
Event Coordinator, assists in the implementation of the Skokie Environmental
Sustainability Plan and provides research, analysis and support of various
programs, grant opportunities, legislation and other activities of the Manager's
Office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides professional level staff assistance in the areas of research and

analysis; development, recommendation and execution of plans; and provides
general support for activities that support the Manager's Office.
- Partners with the Community Engagement Division to assist in website, social

media and newsletter design.
- Member of the Buildings and Energy Sector Team of the Environmental

Sustainabiiity Plan. Assists in the research, development and implementation of
the 33 action items of the sector.
- On an annual basis, develops the Village's Popular Annual Financial Report

(PAFR) and submits it to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
for the Popular Annual Report Award.

- Acts as a key member of the innovations committee using data analytic software

to improve Village processes and find other key takeaways.
- Serves as FOIA Officer providing media, citizen, and the general public with

information related to Village issues, press releases, policies and Freedom of
Information requests.
- Serves as Permit Official for special events, i.e., parades, festivals, films, and

public assemblies.
- Assists in the oversight of the government access cable channel, audio visual

technology, the recording of Village board and other public meetings.
- Identify, analyze, and write grants.
- Monitor and analyze key legislation.
- Performs other duties as required.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
