As the Head of Sales, you will build and lead a purpose driven sales org focused on operational excellence. You will provide leadership on a strategic and operational level, translating the company’s vision into channel development, sales, account growth.

You’ll collaborate with the CEO and be an active member of the leadership team that builds and shapes operational strategy. By setting meaningful goals aligned with our AOP, you will ensure that Sightglass’s strategic initiatives come to light.

We’re seeking a proven leader and operator, familiar with high growth, skilled at business development, an excellent communicator who sets a high bar, and is adept at developing talent. You are someone who thrives in a critical leadership position and gains meaning through sharing knowledge and driving operational excellence.

This role is based in San Francisco and requires travel, as needed.

**Sales Oversight and Sales Support**:

- Partner with CEO to implement Wholesale Program vision, directives, and overall business initiatives/goals.
- Leads Sales team to develop and expand sales channels Grocery/CPG, Hospitality, and Corporate
- Manages high-profile sales cycles from initial communication with prospective accounts through onboarding and support, including formulating business plans for a highly competitive market
- Serve as a critical leader in the company’s financial success, setting annual channel specific sales goals and collaborating with finance on budgeting, performance analysis, and key performance indicators.
- Experience developing and leading S&OP process and building trade spend
- Develops, implements, and directs Wholesale sales’ initiatives alongside the sales team to strategically target and onboard new business
- Collaborates with Head of Marketing to direct resources and assets for roll outs, promotions, and ongoing account support
- Reviews Wholesale department’s sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and to optimize efficiencies to strengthen wholesale operations
- Serve as a strong cross functional partner with leaders in operations, sourcing, and logistics to ensure product availability and pricing aligns with sales

**Management Responsibilities**:

- Build and manage a high-performance sales organization with omni channel capabilities, mentoring their vision, performance, growth, and development
- Establish the team’s priorities and KPIs to ensure that expectations and metrics of success are clear.
- Collaborates with the People Operations to promote and facilitate professional development for team members, including annual review cycles, regular feedback, and coaching.

**Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- 3-5 years of upper management professional experience in manufacturing and distribution of specialty coffee, preferred
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with a proven ability to analyze complex problems and systems
- Outstanding, proactive written and verbal communication to critical internal and external stakeholders
- Is a motivated, proactive, flexible, professional, and displays positivity and enthusiasm, using discretion and diplomacy in all aspects of the job
- Knowledge of relevant sales tech stack including but not limited to Microsoft Office, HubSpot, P&L reporting, and channel-specific analytics
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Ability to effectively assess and prioritize projects
- Strong ability to motivate the wholesale team to innovate and excel
- Experience in building, leading, and mentoring teams in performance, growth, and development towards meeting and exceeding established goals
- Experience in framing and running sales-oriented meetings with small to medium sized teams ensuring expectations and priorities are clear
- Experience in delivering sales numbers as a function of a formal budget process.

**Salary & Benefits**
- Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000/year + sales-based bonus structure
