**Duties**:

- You will curate a diverse array of materials, from scientific reports to project documentation and artifacts
- You will employ effective retrieval systems and user-friendly interfaces
- You will develop engaging exhibits and outreach programs that showcase the NRL's historical achievements through creative and informative displaces.
- You will offer expertise in archival materials and facilitating scholarly investigations.
- You will ensure meticulous documentation for efficient retrieval, thereby enhancing overall accessibility to the NRL's historical assets.
- You will contribute to the preservation of materials that are vital to understanding the NRL's scientific and technological evolution.

**Qualifications**:

- In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NO-03 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Overseeing the organization and maintenance of an extensive collection; 2) Identifying, appraising and acquiring records of enduring value that aligns with an organization; 3) Utilizing cutting-edge techniques to safeguard materials from deterioration; 4) Contributing the formulation and implementation of archival polices, ensuring alignment with guidelines, industry standards, and legal requirements; and 5) Establishing and implementing policies and procedures for systematic creation, retention, and disposal of records across an organization.

**Education**:

- Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor's degree in archival science or bachelor's degree with a major that includes 18 semester hours in archival science, history and/ or in political science or government, and 12 semester hours in one or any combination of the following: archival science, history, American civilization, economics, political science, public administration, or government.

OR
- Combination of education and experience - at least 30 semester hours that included courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- Applicants are required to provide all relevant transcripts to verify completed education**Additional information**:
