Production Worker/assembler

**Patrick Industries** is looking for production workers for several locations in the Elkhart county area. We have a variety of positions. Pay is very competitive depending on position and exp. We also offer medical, dental and vison benefits paid holidays. The production worker performs all tasks involved at the location. This includes but is not limited to cutting, routing, fabricating, sanding, coating, touch-up, assembling, packaging, and clean up. The position follows strict work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

**Essential Functions**

- Reads work orders and performs work as assigned by department supervisor.
- Works and communicates verbally with others in the department (including lift truck operators) to lift and move heavy items or coordinate work processes.
- Sets up, lays out, cuts, routs, fabricates, sands, paints, coats, and otherwise produces/alters/touches up raw materials.
- Verifies the quality of the fabricated material to ensure color consistency and texture uniformity.
- Attaches appropriate labels/tags to products and packages.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes or onto pallets.
- Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.

- May have to accurately read tape measures and understand both the Metric and English systems of measurement.

**Supervisory Responsibility**
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Environment**
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles, moving parts and vibration.
- While performing duties of this job, safety glasses, ear plugs, and kevlar sleeves may be required to be worn.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

- Talk and hear.
- Stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours per day. These jobs cannot be done while seated.
- Employee must be able to firmly grip material while lifting/carrying.
- Employee must use hands and fingers to handle or feel material.

**Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work**

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday and the hours vary depending on location and shift. The employee may be required to work weekends.

**Travel**

No travel is expected for this position.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
