Overview
The Manager-Airport Parking manages, oversees, monitors, and supports all airport parking enforcement, operations, planning, and compliance for the airport and its operations.
Essential Functions
Manages, oversees, directs, and monitors activities of parking planning, enforcement, maintenance, and operation for the Airport and its tenants.
2 Develops, determines, and implements guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations for parking within the airport and its facilities ; monitors compliance with policies and procedures and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.
3 Directs, manages, and oversees all personnel scheduling, delegation, and performance evaluation; enforces discipline, verifies and approves time, manages equipment, tools, and technology, and performs other supervisory tasks for parking related personnel.
4 Plans, assigns, and supervises work of others, including lower supervision levels, crew leaders, outside agencies, and parking contractors; monitors adherence to contractual obligations and specifications.
5 Establishes short-, mid
- and long-term goals and objectives; develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals, and directs evaluation activities.
6 Creates and manages the preparation of usage, enforcement, compliance, and productivity reports and studies.
7 Identifies and addresses maintenance and complex issues for the parking services within the airport; addresses safety concerns quickly and efficiently ensuring uninterrupted service and parking activities.
8 Prepares, develops, and evaluates the budget for the department and parking services; monitors expenditures and revenue from parking services and keeps accurate accounting ledgers; manages billing and revenue collection.
9 Oversees the planning, development, and operation of special projects or facilities.
10 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of Airport Parking operations and administration.
2 Knowledge of parking compliance and long or short term parking management.
3 Knowledge of City policies and procedures.
4 Knowledge of contract negotiation and vendor management.
5 Ability to manage large scale airport parking operations.
6 Ability to establish and implement operating goals and objectives for the department.
7 Ability to devise solutions to administrative problems and to plan, assign, and supervise the work of others.
8 Ability to develop and evaluate administrative policies.
9 Ability to draft and prepare concise reports and documents.
10 Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
11 Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
Minimum Qualifications:
- EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in any field.- EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years of experience managing parking operations in an access-controlled garage or surface lot which must include one (1) of the following:- Manage parking contracts-
- Contractor performance measuring-
- Large venue operations-
- Facilities management-
- Parking revenue projections and reporting- AND- Two (2) years of supervisory/project management responsibilities. (This experience may be included in the required experience listed above.)EQUIVALENCIES:
- High school diploma or GED plus six (6) years of the required experience including two (2) years of supervisory/project management responsibilities will meet the education and experience requirements.-
- Associate degree in any field plus four (4) years of the required experience including two (2) years of supervisory/project management responsibilities will meet the education and experience requirements.-
- Master's degree (or higher) in any field plus one (1) year of the required experience including two (2) years of supervisory/project responsibilities will meet the education and experience requirements.- LICENSE:
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.- OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.-
- Availability to work varying shifts (days, evenings, nights) including weekends, holidays.Salary Range
$66,743.57 - $83,429.47
The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
