**JOB DESCRIPTION - **Community Outreach & Education Coordinator - North Jersey**
**Position Description**
The Community Outreach and Education Coordinator will conduct local, targeted outreach to develop relationships with key stakeholders who may encounter unaccompanied children after their release from the Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR) custody. The coordinator will develop relationships with service providers, educators, child welfare, law enforcement and anti-trafficking task forces to advocate for and provide education about the needs of unaccompanied children. The position reports to The Accompany Now Program Director.
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English is required for this position.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide regional and targeted local community outreach and education with community service providers to improve outcomes for unaccompanied children;
- Plan and develop educational resources to be shared with community stakeholders;
- Make ongoing efforts to identify new community resources to support the work of direct care staff serving unaccompanied children;
- Execute a project plan for community outreach and education efforts;
- Conduct needs assessments with HS/PRS staff, external providers, and families to identify stakeholders and parties for community outreach/education;
- Maintain data on development and outreach activities;
- Provide geographic support based on need to train and educate local stakeholders; and
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science, education, or social services field with at least two years’ experience in child welfare, case management, and working with immigrant children;
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills;
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically proficiency with Word, Power Point, Publisher, and Excel;
- Demonstrated experience partnering with and providing training, guidance, and support to community-based organizations and other institutions;
- Strong technology skills;
- Strict adherence to timeframes, policy, and procedure;
- Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work well independently and in a team;
- Ability to track and analyze data;
- Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in additional languages a plus;
- Willing to travel a few times annually;
- Demonstrated support of RCHP-AHC’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
COMPENSATION: This position is full time, $55,000/year.
