The major function of this position is:
Oversee the strategy, design, and delivery of training programs for Maui Jim Brand Ambassadors and retail partners to target skill development and grow sales, while aligning with marketing and sales strategies.
The primary responsibilities and duties of this position are:
- Oversee programming and strategy of account-facing learning management system, ensuring continual content development and maximizing system usage.
- Develop account training event strategy for both in-person and webinar training events, ensuring best use of resources while maximizing sales impact.
- Partner with largest account groups to develop custom training programming.
- Oversee strategy and design of Brand Ambassador new hire training program ensuring new hires are equipped to perform their job duties proficiently.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to identify ongoing Brand Ambassador training needs and programming.
- Lead day-to-day activities of multiple assigned training initiatives, communicate status updates and preemptively identify changes in scope of work. Manage project plans, vendor management, resources, and budget allocation.
- Continuously review and revise existing training materials to evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs. Recommend and implement changes as needed. Determine additional training strategies based on data and observation.
- Facilitate seminars, workshops, webinars, and other training sessions to address business and organizational needs; solicit feedback to ensure content continues to be relevant, audience appropriate and appealing to adult learning styles.
- Additional training and development responsibilities as requested.
**Education**:
- Bachelors, High School (required)
**Required Skills**:
- 6+ years of training and development experience,
- Strategic alignment with business goals,
- Ability to work with and teach varying degrees of abilities and experience levels using varying methods to address adult learning styles,
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and creating effective instructional materials,
- Ability to analyze and select the most appropriate strategy, methodologies, and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact,
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously,
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment,
- Attention to detail, problem-solving and logic skills,
- Demonstrated planning and analysis skills,
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,
- Excellent presentation and communication skills,
- Exceptional communication: verbal and written skills,
- Experience developing content and conducting training,
- Strong collaboration and client relationship skills,
- Ability to travel, as required, up to 10% (domestic/internationally)
Special Requirements (If Applicable):
- Travel - 15% - 20% (Co-travel to accounts and MJ/Kering offices)
- Ability to communicate in a variety of business settings
- Ability to utilize a PC
- Ability to carry 30 pounds
- Ability to travel overnight
