**Laborer/Operator**

RRCH seeking laborer to work on jobsites with the potential to develop into carpenter with proven experience and work ethic. The ability to take direction and work with a small set of tools is the key for success in this position. A laborer is generally used as a second or third person on a job when needed per the Project Superintendent’s request. The laborer is responsible for the quality of whatever work he or she is assigned by the Project Superintendent. Laborers are under the direction and supervision of the Project Superintendent while on a project and will generally work with all Project Superintendents as requested

**Specific Duties**:
1. Use company software for timekeeping, project information and instruction, and communication with clients and other team members.

2. Lifting heavy loads is a typical function of the laborer. He or she must be able to regularly lift as much as 80 pounds.

3. The laborer is expected to follow all policies as stated in the Employee Manual and report to the job site with all necessary tools and equipment and ready to work. Hours for position will be Monday through Friday beginning at 7:30 AM, and days will be 8-10 hours, and will be an average of 45 hours per week with some Saturdays required. Willingness to work overtime expected.

4. The laborer is expected to contact the Production Manager for assignment before leaving a job site if he or she is not needed by the Project Superintendent the following day.

5. The laborer will always be training to learn new skills and to handle additional responsibilities. During the training, the laborer will begin to acquire the major skills and tools needed to become a Carpenter.

**Tasks to perform on jobsites to include**:
6. Various demolitions including concrete, flooring, exterior walls and other materials.

7. Mixing and pouring concrete in trenches and other areas as necessary.

8. Assisting with Framing and Siding.

9. Measuring, cutting and installing batt insulation as needed.

10. Organizing materials on site, sweep, vacuum out and maintain a clean work environment. Should also be able to do rough grading with shovel and rake.

11. Ability to haul trailers (gooseneck, bumper pull, 14’- 30’ lengths, dump trailers). Must be proficient at backing and maneuvering trailers.

12. Load and unload equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers, tractors, scissor lifts, etc. Must load with proper weight distribution and tied down properly for hauling.

13. Ability to use tractor and skid steer attachments properly such as trencher, forks, bucket, auger, etc.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
