Summary:

Lawn Enforcement Agency is seeking a self-motivated Operations Manager for our Florida based commercial landscape and construction business. This exciting role entails successful management and administration of all functions related to operations. The experienced Operations Manager will serve as a company representative on outward facing issues, while internally enhancing procedures, systems, and principles in the areas of operational performance, relationships, communications, and reporting. It is essential for the Operations Manager to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies, as well as oversee project scope, schedule, budget, labor, productivity, quality control, safety, and customer satisfaction related to established goals for the Operations Department.

As our Operations Manager, you will be expected to:

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable all Operations department resources

• Be accountable for serving and growing healthy customer relationships

• Be accountable for managing overall department scope, schedule, and budget

• Be accountable for department safety and employee training

• Be accountable for the company vehicle fleet and other operational assets

• Be accountable to recruit, select, hire, train, assign, coach, counsel, and discipline employees

Essential duties and responsibilities you’ll need to fulfill:

• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures

• Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees

• Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues

• Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department (L10) meetings

• Work closely with Leadership team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation

• Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees

• Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace

• Review contracts and pricing ensure profitability and customer satisfaction

• Manage relationships with key operations vendors

• Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

• Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.

• Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals

• Work collaboratively with Sales and Finance + Admin departments for the greater good of the company

Required qualifications

• 10 years minimum experience in landscape operations management

• Business and/or horticulture degree preferred

• Organizational and time management skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong leadership and conflict management skills

• Astuteness of best business practices

• Critical thinking and problem solving

• People management with dignity

• Technology acumen and adaptability

• Budget development and financial performance forecasting

The Operations Manager of Lawn Enforcement Agency is responsible for managing overall operations and for the effective and successful management of labor, budget, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department. The experienced operations manager will ensure safe and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
