Banquet Captain

Forsgate Country Club is searching for an enthusiastic, experienced and professional Banquet Captain for our Banquets department. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of banquet events, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership role within our hospitality establishment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise service staff, bartenders, housemen
- Ensure quality of service and food.
- Works directly with the host of each event and ensures expectations are met.
- Ensures adequate communication between kitchen and service staff.
- Does job assignments for servers and assures assignments are executed, i.e., china, glass, silver, salt, pepper, etc.
- Ensures that all “special requirements” on Banquet Event Orders are executed, i.e., head table, microphones, etc.
- Ensures that all function room set-ups are as indicated on floor plan diagrams
- Prepares station diagram for service staff and executes
- Does food and equipment requisitions
- Meets with service staff prior to function to explain menu, food service, wine service, etc.
- Coordinates with kitchen and service staff timing of service
- Ensures dress code standards for the department are being met by all servers, bartenders, housemen
- Ensures that all department standards are being met, i.e., dress codes, service standards, clearing standards, set-up and break-down, etc.
- Prepares and issues bill to client
- Assist with training of all service staff, bartenders, housemen.

**Qualification**:

- Must be experienced banquet server and worked in a similar environment.
