**General Position Description**:
VCU School of Nursing is seeking a Research Coordinator with an interest in older adults’ cognitive health and mobility to work in Drs. Jane Chung and Lana Sargent. The Research Coordinator (RC) will contribute to activities in an NIH-funded study, the "RAMS study".

**Responsibilities include**:

- The RC will assist the study coordinator with intensive activities relating to participant recruitment, enrollment, tracking, health monitoring device use and management, and data collection, including but not limited to qualitative interviewing, retention activities, and similar.
- The RC will assist the team in communication efforts; this includes activities such as engaging with community partners and potential participants to enhance recruitment and with current participants to enhance retention.
- The RC will also assist the study coordinator with the preparation of knowledge dissemination products (e.g., manuscripts, presentations), regulatory reports (e.g., to the IRB, the NIH, etc.), and other similar duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work with an interprofessional team and community members
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU."

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field
- Experience working in a older adults’ health-focused research study and/or clinical setting
- Experience with qualitative interviewing of research participants or in a clinical setting
- Evidence of effective communication with research participants or patients
- Completion of research ethics training (CITI)
- Evidence of effective communication with diverse community organizations/leaders"
