**Primary Responsibility**:
Under the direction of the Department Manager/Lead Supervisor, the Warehouse Supervisor is accountable to supervise assigned associates to the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. The Warehouse Supervisor has general accountability to coordinate and supervise all warehouse activities on a daily basis.

**This position will be working weekends, holidays and most likely a 2nd or 3rd shift.**

**Essential Functions (Included but are not limited to the following)**:

- Supervise and coordinate the most efficient unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Responsible for the cross communication between shifts.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure all associates follow all Company policies and procedures. Thoroughly investigate and report all safety accidents and violations in a timely manner. Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Direct the operations of the assigned work team to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Conduct shift meetings.
- Follow company protocol to report on-the-job injuries and accidents.
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Must have strong relationship skills, be able to provide and model leadership behaviors including the ability to defuse conflict. Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: must get along with others without exhibiting behavioral extremes; perform work activities requiring reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism.
- Ensure proper food safety practices are maintained.
- Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Complete daily/weekly KPI’s in a timely manner.
- Maintain a good working relationship and open communication with all other 3rd parties.
- Responsible for making sure employee payroll for your shift is completed weekly.
- Other duties as requested.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast paced and demanding work environment.
- Ability to schedule own tasks and handle all facets of assigned projects independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to perform in-depth problem solving.
- Ability to perform the same work duties as those supervised or performs more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance.

- Familiarity with computers and materials handling equipment is essential.
- Good communications skills and the ability to work well with people.
- Considerable knowledge of Safety, Sanitation and Food Safety practices.
- Thorough knowledge of Shipping and Receiving process.
- Inventory Control and Scheduling.
- Leadership Skills, Coaching, Discipline.
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Considerable knowledge of the WIN system.
- Working skill in operation of 960/870 RDT units.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Experience in union environment preferred.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and supervise the operation of the warehouse.
- Read, interpret and follow rules, regulations and procedures.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
- Maintain accurate and current records of warehouse transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged information obtained in the course of work.
- Tools and Technology Required: Microsoft, Calculators, Desktop computers and Photocopiers

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- 3+ years supervisory or warehouse experience and Bachelor Degree preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse operations
- Experience in union environment preferred

**Working Conditions**:

- Environmental - Warehouse environment, exposure to cold
- Walking, standing, bending lifting, stooping, sitting
