We are seeking a Foster Home Compliance Specialist with knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agency Foster Home. Who has previously worked for HHSC-CCL as an inspector or for a private CPA as a Family Developer and/or Child Placement Staff.

**This position travels 100% of the time to monitor foster homes for compliance throughout the city of Houston and other surrounding areas (i.e. Conroe, Cypress, Spring, Huntsville, Galveston, Richmond, and Katy)**

**Summary of Duties**:
The Foster Home Compliance Specialist provides in-home compliance inspections, foster parent satisfaction surveys, technical support and in-home training to foster families caring for children in their homes. This position creates and monitor developmental/ corrective action plans to address identified trending and processes for improvement in order to support the highest quality of foster care services.

**Experience and Qualifications**:
Must be a US citizen and have a cleared CBC and FBI clearance, including good organizational, time management, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and the ability to use company vehicle to transport self and others, and must comply with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage.

**Education Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in social work or other human service field; (1-2) year full-time experience in a child-placing agency conducting child-placing activities as a (CPS) providing foster care and adoptive case management services to children, adolescents, and foster/adopt families; or worked under the direct supervision of (CPMS) and/or (DFPS conservatorship supervisor work experience is acceptable).

**Additional Skills & Abilities**: Must be able to asses for risk, safety concerns and compliance with little to no assistance; Must be competent in using effective communication and problem solving skills; Must be able to track data and evaluate information; Must be able to develop training materials (written, visual, computer based); and must be able to travel and work extended hours during evenings and weekends as required.

**Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures, HHSC Minimum Standards for Child-Placing Agencies, and DFPS Residential Child-Care Services Contract Requirements
- Possess motivational interviewing strategies and the ability to motivate and train others
- Knowledge of trauma informed care
- Knowledge organizational and analytic tools and proficiency in utilizing them
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions and exercise sound judgment
- Self-directed, assertive, resourceful and creative abilities in problem solving, system planning and client care management
- Adept at capturing feedback from stakeholder using active listening skills
- Ability to give and receive constructive criticism and to integrate modifications
- Exceptional written and oral communication
- Ability to use diplomacy in all aspects of the role

Pay: $40,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
