TransitAmerica Services, Inc. is currently seeking a knowledgeable and detail-focused **Manager of Crew Dispatching **in** Menlo Park, CA **to join our team. The Manager of Crew Dispatching / PIDS Clerks is responsible for the supervisory and administrative functions related to Caltrain service within this department.

The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Responsible for coordinating day to day train crew management dispatch functions over a 24x7 operation.
- Ensure staffing requirements are fulfilled across departments (dispatch, operations, mechanical)
- Understand Collective Bargaining Agreements, call-out procedures, union seniority rosters, and hours of service.
- Train and qualify employees regarding their work assignments.
- Keep clear, concise, and accurate records.
- Develop and implement employee schedules in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreements, consistent with company policies and staffing requirements.
- Prepare bulletins and awards covering assignments.
- Coordinate the distribution of public service announcements via the Caltrain Messaging and Public Address System.
- Monitor and report safe working behaviors and productivity.
- Coordinate activities with the Power Desk, Dispatch, Maintenance of Way, Operations, and Maintenance of Equipment personnel in the performance of duties.
- Prepare various reports, as directed.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.”

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of railroad experience.
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment to make safe, sound operational decisions to minimize the impact to revenue service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain rapport with employees and other personnel in a courteous and effective manner.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

**Pre-Employment Requirements**:

- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
