**Position Summary**:Primarily responsible coordination of all new patient in-coming referrals. Answers phones and schedules new patient appointments.

Supervisor: Patient Scheduling Lead

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for creating charts for new patient referrals. Includes sorting,prioritizing, and organizing new referral requests.
- Creating a new patient chart in our electronic medical records (EMR)
- Enter insurance information into the patient chart and scan necessary documents to add to the chart
- Responsible for sending out all new patient documents and portal enrollments for new patients.
- Responsible for back-up responsibilities of the support team; check-in, check-out, incoming calls if needed.

**General**:

- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Presents a polite and courteous manner to the patients at all times, and be willing to meet the patient’s needs.
- Participate in compliance of OSHA/HIPPA/OIG regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Normal hours-see schedule, one-half hour lunch

**Job Requirements**:

- High school education or G.E.D. equivalent. Completion of two-year course for a Medical Assistant at the junior college level would be an advantage.
- Possess a knowledge of modern office procedures and office equipment, and medical terminology.
- Typing ability must be at least 60 wpm

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- In-person
