Food Production Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Food Production Supervisor to join our DO & CO Team in our Des Plaines location
Reporting to the Food Assembly Manager, you will collaborate with a designated food production team to achieve daily objectives. As an integral part of this role, you must demonstrate a strong commitment to motivating and guiding team members in a professional and efficient manner.

**A day as a Food Production Supervisor**:
- Supervise day-to-day productions for an assigned kitchen.
- Make sure all areas are kept well organized and all stock refills are ready for the next day.
- Identify problematic areas and suggest solutions within the cosigned sector.
- Make sure golden samples are used, team members follow specs, all documentation is completed, and random checks are done.
- Lead and motivate the food production team.
- Review production plan daily with management & communicate to the team.
- Support in streamlining current process, e.g., accessibility, quality, and production assurance to guarantee best productivity.
- Adhere to food safety compliance, HACCP regulations, and FDA regulations.
- Responsible for adherence to Personnel Practices (GMP’s) and Processing Practices within the scope of the position.
- Provide training and guidance to new hires while ensuring optimal staffing levels are consistently maintained.
- Monitor attendance and meal breaks.
- Maintain production controls systems including daily production processes.
- Motivate, train, schedule and lead food assembly helpers.

**Who you are**:
- Experience in a high-volume food service or food manufacturing establishment.
- Culinary knowledge in terms of procedures and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timeline goals and deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in using Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of catering set-up procedures and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate and write in English.
- Ability to work with a diverse group.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
- Hands-on approach, self-driven and dedicated personality.
- Be flexible to be on different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
