**Afternoon Preschool Teacher (Part-Time)**

GLMS also provides pre-authorized education contributions to ensure that these courses can be a source of regular, personal growth as well as within the organization. Teachers who complete their training courses are eligible for promotions and increases in compensation based on their current roles and future commitments. In addition to providing experienced teacher mentorship, in person classes and online training throughout the year. GLMS encourages all of our teachers to participate in ongoing education courses to both build their knowledge and help them grow in their careers.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 12 units of early childhood education that include: child development, child, family, and community, and curriculum
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children

(A partially qualified Teacher must have 6 months teaching experience, 6 units and be continually enrolled in ECE courses until successfully completing 12 units. (A partially qualified teacher falls under the assistant role in the wage scale until completing all 12 units.)

**Responsibilities**:

- Assists and oversees the children at all times.
- Helps to plan and carry out the afternoon schedule
- Assists with covering breaks
- Plans and carries out aftercare activities that align with Growing Light Curriculum Guidelines
- Attends scheduled staff meetings and continuing education as provided by the Director, including in-service training of the staff.
- Communicates with the main day Headteacher to ensure uniform parent interactions and carry individual students goal into the afternoon
- Ensures all students are signed out prior to leaving the campus
- Leading a small group of students
- Resets classrooms, playgrounds, and shared spaces at the end of the day following closing procedure to help ensure a clean and safe environment when children arrive at school the following morning
- Communicates any issues, ouch reports, parent requests/questions that arise to the campus director

**Compensation**:

- $23.50-25.50/hr PLUS paid breaks based on experience, class size and completed course work.
- 401K retirement benefit with 5% employer match.
- Generous personal time off, holiday & vacation package provided in addition to 5 weeks paid vacation over school holidays
- Ongoing training opportunities in addition to pre-authorized education contributions.

**Optional Summer Only through end of July**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.50 - $25.50 per hour
