Job Title:
AV Technician

Pay Details:
The starting hourly rate range for this position is $30.00 to $37.54 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

This position will be responsible for assisting with video requirements and services for Honda Center events including internal video needs. Position will have an understanding of analog and digital video technology, and industry video standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Video Engineer with preproduction/edit facility needs, game day video production needs and overall operation of video control room
- A/V installation experience required
- Understanding of evertz, or similar, A/V routing and patching systems and software preferred
- Understanding HD/SD, digital/analog video standards, video conversion processes and audio mixing
- Provide technical support and connectivity to broadcast trucks as needed
- The applicant shall have the ability to solder and work with common hand tools used in the electronics industry
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot in-house presentation & multi-media resources and equipment
- Applicant shall have basic understanding of PC/MAC platforms, video codecs and IPTV
- Must be able to create and maintain PM and repair logs as requested by the Video Engineer
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair Daktronics scoreboard hardware, video matrix systems and Daktronics software
- Work with outside entities including but not limited to promoters, vendors and business partners

**Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in similar capacity in a live sports and entertainment field or venue preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask while meeting all deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work independently as well as providing team-leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a live event situation under changing conditions
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays as required

Experience Required - 3-5 Years
