Description:
Epsilyte is seeking an **Operations Superintendent** for its EPS production facility in Peru, Illinois. The Operations Superintendent is the front-line operations leader of the site and is responsible for the safe and compliant execution of the production plan 24/7/365. The Operations Superintendent leads the facility’s front-line operations staff of approximately 40 employees, including front-line supervisors. The Operations Superintendent is an advocate for the front-line staff and is the primary liaison with day support staff, setting support priorities to ensure day-to-day goals are achieved. This is a high-visibility role within the Peru organization. The Operations Superintendent is a member of the Site Leadership Team.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

- Meet operational safety, compliance, reliability, production, and cost commitments.
- Ensure teams are executing the facility’s production plan in accordance with existing policies and procedures related to personal safety, process safety, and compliance
- Ensure incidents and near misses are reported promptly and investigated appropriately
- Oversee execution of the daily and monthly production plan for multiple departments and shifts
- Identify operational barriers and partner with site support staff from multiple departments to resolve
- Ensure that product quality commitments and customer needs are met
- Be a steward of Epsilyte’s financial resources, monitoring operating costs and making sound spending decisions
- Development of front-line supervisors and staff
- Develop high-performing operations employees and teams
- Create and utilize business metrics to drive action and improvement
- Encourage innovation and personal growth among staff
- Make decisions related to talent management, including selection, performance, positive recognition, and discipline when necessary
- Support continuous business improvement
- Identify and drive operating improvements to minimize waste, improve safety & compliance, and maximize reliable production
- Participate in the Site Leadership Team
- Own the positive culture of the site and team
- Communicate site-wide priorities, results, and initiatives within your team
- Participate in capital planning efforts
- Support development and execution of strategic business plans

**Requirements**:
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required
- 8+ years of operations or manufacturing experience, with 3 or more years of experience leading and developing a team in a chemical manufacturing or similar setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
- Experience working in a union environment and/or in a facility regulated by OSHA’s Process Safety Management standard are a plus
