**SYSTEM SUPPORT TECHNICIAN**

**Description**:Under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills to perform hardware and software support for Exeter School District—Resolves hardware, software, and communication problems/conflicts/defects. Interact with students and staff, recommend inventory stock, and maintain inventory of all technology equipment.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- ** I**nvestigate, analyze, and resolve hardware and software issues related to SAU 16 technology.
- ** P**erform maintenance and repairs on a variety of Windows, Apple, and Google Chromebook computers and peripherals.
- ** O**rganize, label, set up, and distribute student Chromebooks and iPads annually
- ** P**rovide technical software assistance to students, staff, and families.
- ** W**elcome new staff, set up accounts and hardware, provide training and support, ensure security awareness, and maintain documentation.
- ** P**rovide advanced hardware technical assistance and network support; troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software, and conflicts. Respond to IT tickets.
- ** E**valuate, install, and upgrade systems based on student and staff needs, customize and test computer systems, and resolve configuration conflicts and errors.
- ** M**aintain accurate inventory records of all technical equipment and work with building administration to build an annual technology budget based on school needs.
- ** Document project progress and prioritize and process problem reports.**
- ** M**aintain a high-level quality of customer service standards in dealing with and responding to questions and support requests.
- ** P**rovide support and installation of audio-visual equipment.
- ** S**erve as the primary contact for SAU 16 Technical Services, addressing network, telephone, and related technical issues within the Exeter School District.
- ** A**dd, remove, and edit content on the websites. Stay up to date with new updates and features of the Exeter School District websites.
- ** M**aintain accurate inventory of all technical equipment.
- ** P**erform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- ** 1-**3 years of experience directly related to job duties
- ** A**+ Certification or relevant experience

**Distinguishing Characteristics**:

- ** K**nowledge of maintenance and repair of technology hardware
- ** I**nvestigating and resolving problems and repairing as specified by work orders
- ** S**trong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- ** G**ood written and oral skills
- ** A**bility to handle the stress of customer service
- ** A **willingness to learn

**Additional Information**:

- ** H**eavy lifting, pushing, or pulling is required for objects up to 50 lbs
- ** A**bility to climb ladders
- ** C**ompensation will be commensurate with experience
