**The Resident Assistant is responsible for**: The Resident Assistant will be responsible for general house tasks and ensuring that the house runs smoothly.

**Major Responsibilities**:
Responsible for providing emotional support to Turning Point clients.

Responsible for delivery of evidence based practice psycho-educational groups (life skills, relapse prevention, peer support, wellness, etc.) as approved by the Clinical Director and/or Assistant Clinical Director.

Answer phones and greet visitors.

Responsible for ensuring that all client medications are taken as prescribed by physician order and in a timely manner.

Performs and records a medication count at the beginning and end of each shift worked in conjunction with other staff coming in or going home.

Responsible for reporting any unusual behaviors or occurrences with SENHS clients.

Responsible for overseeing the common areas; assures that the common areas are kept neat and clean at all times.

Performs random room searches - bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.

Manage and enforce house rules and policies consistently and in a positive manner.

Conduct intakes and orientation for new clients.

Perform observed drug testing and screening with residents as well as federal clients (NH & ME) as appropriate/required.

Assist residents in maintaining a positive and respectful home environment; model appropriate interpersonal interaction and responsible behavior.

Maintain daily log of activities and update client notes each shift.

Report all client incidents and significant interactions to appropriate staff person.

Prepare resident rooms between occupancy, and other housekeeping and light maintenance tasks (e.g. changing light bulbs).

Ensure that residents are following chore schedule, assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of house.

Responsible to communicate and work as a team member with all individuals on your shift.

Attend staff meetings, change of shift meetings, and house meetings.

Maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Any other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Position Requirements**:
Ability to work with alcohol and/or drug addicted individuals.

Must be CRSW (Certified Recovery Support Worker) or willing to become certified within one year of employment start date.

Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully; good inter-personal skills.

Ability to do group presentation work.

If in recovery, provide evidence of personal stability as well as adhering to all SENHS Policies as it relates to recovery.

Skill in using computers: Word, Excel, Access, etc.

Ability to multi-task efficiently.

Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.

Ability to provide input on the creation of new systems and efficiencies.

Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.

Able to maintain confidential information and adhere to Agency boundaries practices.

Must be high school graduate over 18 years; work towards college degree desirable.

Must understand and comply with confidentiality laws (42 CFR Part 2) as well as HIPAA Regulations.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
