The Warehouse Team at Michael Kinder and Sons is welcoming a Purchasing & Warehouse Manager who will contribute to a growing organization by overseeing the company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain by finding and evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality. This position will also oversee a team of dedicated Warehouse personnel.

**WHAT YOU WOULD DO**
**STRATEGIC PURCHASING | PROCESS DEVELOPMENT | TEAM MANAGEMENT**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive purchasing strategy aligned with organization goals and objectives.
- Lead purchasing process for all tools, equipment, and materials bought to support MKS warehouse and field operations teams, including job-specific, commodity, and rental items.
- Develop and manage departmental budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and warehouse operations.
- Analyze rent vs own for all owned and frequently rented equipment and make recommendations with relevant information to Leadership Team for purchase or rental of company vehicles and equipment.
- Perform all procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiation of supplier agreements, preparation of contracts, and tender management.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including scheduling, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials.
- Provide guidance and support to Warehouse & Shop team members while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implementing solutions for improvement
- Communicate with Warehouse & Shop Team, Project Management, Safety, and Field Teams to ensure that needs are being met and appropriate processes are in place.
- Research and develop Fleet program with 3rd parties for equipment and vehicle purchasing, lease, rent, etc.

**MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP**
- Work collaboratively with your direct reports and other departments to support their efforts in accomplishing personal, departmental and company goals
- Maintain your focus in support of MKS vision, mission, and core values
- Develop others by delegating responsibility, training, providing performance feedback, and assisting in conflict resolution
- Support organizational change by communicating change to the team, problem solving, and maintaining structure

**NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum Education | Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred
- Work Experience:

- 5 years experience in the construction industry
- 5 years in management
- Experience in purchasing and warehouse management
- Demonstrated Abilities in:

- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of construction tools and materials.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Familiarity with relevant software and technologies for inventory and procurement management (ToolWatch software knowledge is preferred, but not required)
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel
