**Position Summary**:
**Salary**: $57,000 to $63,000 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule C-3 and experience

The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight and support of all grant-related resource development activities, including proposal development, writing, submission, management, and reporting. The Grants Specialist will function as an integral part of the Development team to facilitate fundraising success for the College.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Research, develop, write and edit all grant proposals submitted on behalf of the College to state, local, and federal agencies, as well as local and national foundations.
- Collaborate with different areas of the College to evaluate grant opportunities, determine focus areas of best fit, and ensure grant proposals best represent and support the College’s programs.
- Facilitate project development teams that involve faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Submit all grants in a timely manner.
- Track grant submissions to assist with budget planning and to ensure appropriate staff are aware of programmatic outcomes for awarded grants.
- Monitor grant spending throughout the grant life cycle.
- Submit all reports in a timely manner as required by each grant.
- Provide detailed reports to administrators as needed.
- Serve as the liaison for project directors providing fiscal guidance, programmatic technical assistance, and state/ federal regulations in general grants management.
- Assist the Office of Economic Development and Community Outreach in cultivating relationships and grant proposals for private and public foundations and donors.
- Work collaboratively with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and the Business Office on data related to grants management.

**Marginal Functions**
- Assist with post-award grant project implementation and management.
- Coordinate with staff to secure faculty, staff, and student stories that highlight successes.
- Maintain effective, professional relationships with other offices on campus.
- Serve on college committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Education: Bachelor’s degree **required**
Experience: Minimum of two years’ related full-time work experience **required**. Higher Educational experience preferred.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
- Exceptional administrative skills.
- Proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects.
- Ability to work well independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong time-management skills necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience in seeking external funding and the proposal development process, as related to state and local funding.
