**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Full day kindergarten planning may include**:

- **Work collaboratively with administration and staff to develop the full-day kindergarten program to begin in the 2025-26 school year**
- **Visit districts/schools that have successfully implemented a full-day program**
- **Review curriculum resources and assessments, making recommendations to the administration and supervisors**
- **Research best practices for instruction and support related to academics, behavioral, and social-emotional learning**
- **Develop a draft schedule and make a recommendation to the administration**
**Provide updates and receive feedback from the other kindergarten staff**
- **Discuss what (if any) changes are needed for special areas**

**Kindergarten Language Arts Math Support**:

- **Provide specialized or individualized instruction in the kindergarten classroom or in a pull-out situation to support students in meeting grade-level benchmarks in primarily English Language Arts, but may also include math.**
- **Work collaboratively with the kindergarten classroom teacher, MTSS, Reading Specialist, and other staff (special education, math, specials, support staff, etc.) to provide effective instruction for all students.**
- **Assist with assessment and diagnosis to inform instructional interventions and to provide information to kindergarten classroom teachers and parents.**
- **Assist kindergarten teachers in designing instruction for classes, specific groups, or individual students.**
- **Assist kindergarten classroom teachers in using math and literacy assessments and interpreting and using results for instructional decision-making.**
- **Support individual kindergarten teachers who may need assistance in developing and implementing the classroom-integrated English Language Arts and math programs.**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.**
- **Current OJR employee.**
- **Bachelor’s Degree.**
- **Pennsylvania Elementary Teaching Certification.**
- **Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents.**
- **Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.**
- **Well organized with good time management skills.**
- **Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.**
- **Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.**

**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- **190 days, 7 hours 30 minutes per day.**
- **Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors and the Roberts Education Association.**
- **Bachelor's Degree starting $56,000; Master's Degree starting $61,000; Final salary determined by education and experience.**
