Women's Basketball Video Coordinator

Under the general supervision of Basketball Director of Operations, this position will direct and supervise all Basketball video operations and provide technical and analytical assistance to Basketball coaching staff. Supervise student managers.

**Position Specific **Responsibilities/Accountabilities**

Direct and supervise video operations for all practice, home and away games.

Demonstrate technical expertise using Playsight Video and other data analysis software.

Create edits of each opponents' plays and personnel prior to every game for the team to watch in preparation for competition.

Oversee film exchange with each opponent in compliance with NCAA and WCC policies.

Oversee all travel with software, including utilization of software at away games.

Provide leadership to the Athletic Department by encouraging support of Athletic programs and actively supporting teams with attendance at events.

Represent LMU within **Athletics **community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required.

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

- Conduct all aspects of program in accordance with the rules and policies established by Loyola Marymount University, the Athletics Department, all Sports Conference Affiliations, and the national Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
- Complete all rules compliance information as required. Participate in an annual evaluation of adherence to rules compliance (LMU, Athletic Department, Sports Conference Affiliations, NCAA) with immediate supervisor.

**Requisite Qualifications**
- Typically a **Bachelor's **Degree in **education, communication **or related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
- Minimum **2 **year's experience with video operations/editing in an athletic environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of:
Sports skills

Teaching and Training techniques

Organizational skills

Personnel management and staff development

Financial planning

Interpersonal skills

Computer Skills

NCAA rules
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management and/or client relations.
- Ability to work effectively and independently with internal and external constituencies and with creative, communications and technical professionals to accomplish group tasks and projects is required.
- Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.
- Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated computer competency and preferably knowledgeable of **word processing **systems.
