One of the best-known names in cruising, Princess is the world’s leading international premium cruise line and tour company, carrying millions of guests each year to hundreds of destinations around the globe. We give our guests the Medallion Class experience others simply can’t. The Love Boat promises something for everyone.

We’re looking for an amazing ISM Manager(International Safety Management) which will be based in our Santa Clarita, CA office. This is a hybrid, in-office role. You’ll work in person (in office) Tuesday to Thursday each week. You’ll manage Internal ISM Ship and Office Audits, addressing findings promptly and coordinating scheduling for internal Audits. This role entails overseeing the development, management, and enhancement of the company's Safety Management System (SMS), referred to as Global HESS (GHESS). It serves as a liaison between various departments, Carnival Corporation, and Princess Cruises, ensuring the publication and updates of all policies, procedures, and related materials. Collaboration with shipboard personnel and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) is essential to address and resolve findings effectively, while representing Designated Person Ashore (DPA) interests and working closely with shoreside and shipboard teams to resolve any arising issues.

Here’s a summary of what Princess is looking for in its ISM Manager. Is this you?

Conduct follow-up activities as necessary following audit reviews to address any outstanding issues or concerns. Track, review, analyze, and present relevant data to management through periodic, annual, and monthly reporting, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Maintain oversight of ISM internal audits and follow-up audits, ensuring adherence to established processes and standards. Track the status of audit findings to closure and work towards standardization of audit processes. Initiate suggestions for policies related to audit activities, develop proposed wording, and seek approval for audit-related policies, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. Identify and analyse trends in audit findings and facilitate further actions, such as process improvements or additional training, as applicable.
- Publish new and revised policies, procedures, and associated attachments to the GHESS (Global Health, Environment, Safety, and Security) system. Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate and implement both minor and major enhancements to the GHESS system in collaboration with Corporate and IT teams. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation of enhancements.
- Manage the Suggestions and Self-Reported Non-Conformities modules within the GHESS system for Princess. Provide analysis of multiple modules throughout the system on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly), identifying trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks. Oversee the Task module within the system, ensuring tasks are properly assigned, tracked, and updated as necessary.
- Troubleshoot problems encountered both onboard and shoreside related to the GHESS system, providing timely resolution and support to users. Collaborate with relevant teams and stakeholders to address technical issues and ensure system functionality.
