**Salary & Compensation**
- UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. **Qualifications**
- 1. Working knowledge of University and School rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as they related to student affairs and curricula requirements. (preferred)
- 2. Working knowledge of the Registrar's Office and student services such as Career Center, Student Psychological Services, and Financial Aid. (preferred)
- 3. Familiarity with University on-line systems and procedures, SIS (student information systems), SRS (student records systems), URSA (University record system access). (required)
- 4. Ability to interpret transcripts. (required)
- 5. Organizational skills, mathematical skills, attention to detail. (required)
- 6. Computer and data base skills necessary to maintain student data bases, process electronic degree audit notices and generate reports. (required)
- 7. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Access (database administration), word (creation of forms & tables, signs, labels) and excel (formulas, database, function, spreadsheet, data sorts, etc. Experience with html web site design and maintenance. (required)
- 8. Time management and skill in working independently and following through on assignments and meeting deadlines. (required)
- 9. Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions, set priorities and work independently with mínimal direction, think strategically, work in demanding situations. (required)
- 10. Skill in employing fundamental counseling techniques. (required)
- 11. Communication, interpersonal skills and political acumen to interact with a diverse population. (required)
**Special Conditions for Employment**
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
- CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA. The employee must sign the "Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse".
