**Job Summary**:
Join our team at Pratt's Pets as a full-time Assistant Manager at our El Mirage location We are a family-oriented business committed to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality pet care products and pet services. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the store, including overseeing staff, handling financial transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Understand customer needs and recommend products or services
- Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system
- Submit vendor orders and manage inventory, including special orders, new products, and returns
- Maintain and organize product displays and signage
- Supervise and support team members in the absence of the Store Manager
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries and issues
- Train and develop store staff
- Implement and maintain store policies and procedures
- Assist in planning and executing store events and promotions
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Monitor and report on store performance metrics
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
- Experience in pet care or the pet industry is a plus
