**Materials and Manufacturing Researcher**

**Position Summary**

**SURVICE Engineering** is currently seeking a **Materials and Manufacturing Researcher** to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**
- Specializing in basic and applied materials research especially in the area of polymers research, to develop manufacturing science technologies for weapon systems and Soldier equipment.
- Conduct armor materials research for protection systems, to include manned and unmanned systems as well as Soldier protection systems.
- Conduct materials and concepts research for advanced weapon systems.
- Conduct materials and processing research at small and high deformation rates/scales.
- Conduct multi-scale advanced materials modeling.
- Recommend courses of action for internal and external Government research collaborations.
- Coordinate, prepare, and maintain supplies, materials, and equipment for use at laboratories.
- Present research projects at technical meetings and conferences.
- Prepare presentations and written documents summarizing efforts.

**Minimum Qualifications of Materials and Manufacturing Researcher**
- Experience working with Ceramics.
- Experience working in a research environment (educational experience allowable).
- Experience in writing proposals, reports, technical program summaries, PowerPoint presentations, and journal publications.
- SECRET Security Clearance.
