**Duties**:

- Serves as a Senior expert Inspector General and the Chief of the Inspections Branch with responsibility for advising and assisting the INSCOM Inspector General on the conduct and management of the Inspections Branch.
- Responsible for leading, planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordinating of Inspector General special, general and follow-up inspections.
- Conducts entrance briefings with the commander or designated representative of the organization being inspected.
- Provides technical and administrative supervision to division employees.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Required to attend and successfully complete the Department of the Army Inspector General Course in order to perform the duties of this position.
- This position requires approximately 50% travel to INSCOM units throughout the world (stateside and overseas) to conduct inspections and investigations.
- Must travel to units throughout the world in response to short notice investigations or inspections directed by the Commanding General.
- The conduct of inspections requires extended periods of standing and walking.

- Specialized experience includes managing or coordinating inspections, evaluations, and/or onsite visits for an intelligence organization.
- This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).
