- **After Dark**_ **Program at LVTI**

An “After Dark” designation allows school districts offering Chapter 74 vocational technical education programs to partner with other school districts, or other schools within a single school district, to provide Chapter 74 vocational technical education opportunities that would not otherwise exist.

Lynn Vocational Technical Institute is seeking a part-time Metal Fabrication and Joining Technologies instructor to work with upper classmen enrolled in the _After Dark_ program, Monday-Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm for the 2024-2025 school year.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- MA DESE-certified as a Chapter 74 instructor
- MA Vocational licensure in Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies
- Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to Metal Fabrication & Joining Technologies

**SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Deliver instruction in accordance with the approved Ch. 74 curriculum; ensure lessons are prepared with clear objectives and are effectively communicated to support optimal learning outcomes.
- Ensure that direct teacher instructional support is provided to all students, including those in general education, special education, 504, and EL programs.
- Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages positivity.
- Maintain and record student attendance and grades; submit data to the program director and/or guidance counselors to update Power School (SIS).
- Participate in professional development opportunities and remain current with the latest developments in the field.
- Undertake any other relevant teaching duties as assigned.

An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including a drug test, National fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check (NCBC), and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI).

All **MUST** be completed **PRIOR** to the start of employment.

Pay: $54,341.00 - $97,492.00 per year
