We are looking for an accounts payable specialists to maintain and update accounts, handle fixed payments, prepare and process invoices received for payment, expenses, sales tax forms and payments, post payments to our software program ensuring the proper GL accounts. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to, following proper procedures, working closely with purchasing to ensure accurate pricing, reconciling statements, filing sales tax reports, preforming financial transactions for accounts payable on a day to day basis, and creating weekly accounts payables and other financial reports needed by management. **To be successful in this role, you need to have previous experience with Sage50 accounting software. NetSuite experience a plus.**

**Responsibilities**
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, identifying and resolving purchase order, bills, or payment discrepancies and documentation
- Contacting vendors to discuss bills when necessary
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing bills/expense reports; recording entries
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Produce accounts payable financial statements and reports as needed
- Ensure accurate payments to vendors in a timely matter
- Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential

**Skills**
- Work experience with account payable
- Hands-on experience with Sage50
- Advanced MS Excel and Word skills
- Work experience with Smartsheet
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Tracking budge expenses
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
