The Montessori Assistant Teacher plays a critical role in the smooth running of the classroom. They are responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher through the preparation and maintenance of the classroom environment; tone-keeping so that children may receive uninterrupted lessons; and helping to manage snack, toileting, and transitions between environments. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are necessary as the Assistant Teachers will interact with children, parents/families, and colleagues on a daily basis, sharing observations as necessary.

Spanish language skills a plus; Positive, enthusiastic attitude, ability to adapt to change, and attention to detail; Love and respect for children; Strong desire to be part of a team; MA State EEC teacher certification or willingness to work towards EEC Preschool teacher certification; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Basic computer skills; Associates degree or higher preferred; Montessori training or experience preferred but not essential; CORI/SORI background record check certification.

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
