Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Special Education Teacher - Emotionally Disabled to work at one of our facilities. This is a registry position with our company.

Pay Rate:

$40 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs: Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
  • Instructional Methods: Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
  • Student Assessment: Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
  • Learning Disabilities: Diagnose the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
  • Counseling: Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
  • Classroom Management: Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct, and develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure.
  • Supervision: Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher assistant(s) and/or volunteer(s) and evaluate their job performance.
  • Professional Development: Strive to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Staff Meetings: Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Qualifications:

Must meet standards for SC State Board of Education teacher certification.

Special Education - Generic

Special Education - Educable Mentally Disabled
