**Position Summary**

The Director of Live Programming primary responsibility will be to ensure that IFS delivers an on-going stream of diverse live (virtual and in-person) learning events, exploring a range of high impact IFS topics to a growing number of mental health and other professionals around the world. These events will include a growing number of retreats delivered to individuals using IFS for their own personal development.

This position will be responsible for defining goals, success metrics and developing planning standards and policies and growing and managing the team required to make it all happen. The Director will develop a network of vendors, review and approve contracts and have overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget and meet participant expectations.

In order to be successful, the Director will have a strong background in complex, large audience learning event planning and be accustomed to managing a high volume of annual events. In this role, you must be able to think strategically and be able to resolve escalated issues arising from event operations and require coordination with other departments. Additionally, you must possess the ability to lead and inspire a team, while developing a strategic vision for the Live Programming Department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support and stay abreast of the evolution of the vision and growth of IFS through the development of live programming with IFS thought leaders.
- Manage relationships and the development of IFS thought leaders, providing feedback on performance, support for workshop/seminars and prioritization of efforts.
- Develop single thought leader and multiple thought leader programs (e.g., annual conference) weaving together diverse expert perspectives into a cohesive narrative as needed.
- Develop a multi-year plan for IFS live programming, ensuring that needed resources are secured and budgets are adhered to.
- Develop a team that uses best practices to contract with vendors and other outside parties where needed for virtual or in-person events.
- Develop a team to professionally execute all that is required for program development and delivery including agenda development, marketing material creation, CE submissions and provision, in-person event setup and teardown, attendee registration, attendee management, staff and volunteer organization, post-event evaluation and analysis.
- Oversee the development of an annual budget for the live programming team, while also managing and developing budgets for specific events
- Work collaboratively with other teams at IFSI as needed to ensure alignment with IFSI vision and to leverage and support other team capabilities and goals.

- Ability to work collaboratively with IFS thought leaders to create compelling seminars, courses, and training programs that rehabilitation professionals will find useful and want to attend.
- Experience with delivering effective in-person and virtual live programming.
- Ability to negotiate and influence effectively while contending with diverse personalities, cultures, and backgrounds.
- A strong attention to detail and elevated level of accuracy
- Experience working independently and collaboratively across a matrixed organization.
- Genuinely interested in the development and career success of the staff with whom you lead.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, as well as an ability to learn and adapt to new ways of doing things.
