Job Summary:
Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of all machines, olive processing equipment, filling machines, harvesters, facility & farm vehicles, tractors, implements, lift trucks, and all vehicles generally used in the day-to-day operation of the business, including milling operations. Responsibilities include HVAC and refrigerated units involved in F&B, Buildings, and Retail. Will perform routine maintenance minor repairs and coordinate with outside vendors when needed. Under the direction of the Facility Coordinator, will work on facility improvement and expansion projects including light fabrication, furniture assembly, light carpentry, plumbing, and low-voltage electrical.

**Job Specific Responsibilities**

**Facilities**
- Direct responsibility: Performs maintenance on olive processing equipment, filling equipment, and pumps and filters with the Production Manager.
- Direct responsibility: Maintain company vehicles and other motorized equipment, performing routine maintenance or coordinating outside vendors.
- Performs maintenance of all equipment pertaining to the building, including, but not limited to, HVAC systems, filters, coolers, water heaters, water softeners, lighting, security systems (facility-related), electrical, misting system, and lighting.
- Direct responsibility: Maintain a log of scheduled maintenance of all farm related assets including but not limited to tractors, farm implements, farm truck, and John Deere Gators.
- Responsible for the orderly storage of tools and equipment in the storage containers and the farm yard.
- Responsible for seasonal maintenance of processing equipment.
- Direct responsibility: Maintains and logs small tools, and power tools.
- Direct responsibility: Maintains and organizes an inventory of spare parts, lubricants and other consumables related to PM responsibilities.
- Delegated responsibility: Will assist in deep cleaning projects as well as share daily tasks for facility maintenance.
- Delegated responsibility: Assist in setup and teardown of equipment for tours, events, and private functions working closely with the Facility Coordinator.
- Delegated responsibility: Rotating the schedule of closing the building at the close of business.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess an up-to-date food handler permit or card for the county in which he/she is employed
- Be able to cope with the stress of seasonal activity and hours
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)
- Time Management: work with employees and management. Time management is essential to make sure everything is completed
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 50 pounds
- Having a well-thought-out approach and the ability to focus
- Be able to work independently or with a team
- Knowledge of basic operating principles, safety requirements, and technical specifications is sufficient.
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings of plans

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
