- Posts lockbox, ACH, and direct payments to customer accounts according to procedure.
- Processes recurring credit card payments according to procedure.
- Identifies insufficient funds checks and processes according to procedure.
- Identifies short pay and overpays and works with the Accounts Receivable team to resolve according to procedure.
- Maintains payment files (filing check copies and posting reports).
- Supports Account Receivable Specialist with detailed research on customer/Vendor Accounts.

- Performing other delegated tasks and duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as a Cash Application Specialist or Accounting Assistant.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Strong data entry skills, along with a knack for numbers.
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 2-3 years of experience performing AR/AP or other accounting functions.
- Extremely detail-oriented, with consistent accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Preference is given to individuals with prior NetSuite experience.

**Experience & Education**:

- A high school diploma is required.
- An associate degree in a related business or accounting field is a plus.
- Compensation is based on experience.
